Winner of new book about Severe Traumatic Brain Injury

Impact factors of neurosurgical journals updated

The list of impact factors for neurosurgical journals has been updated. The top three neurosurgical journals according to impact factor are now:

1. Journal of Neurosurgery

2. Neurosurgical Focus

3. Neurosurgery

The impact factor is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to recent articles published in the journal and is often used the measure the relative importance of a journal within its field (Wikipedia).

Blogs for neurosurgeons

Pereira et al. have written an interesting paper called Blogs for neurosurgeons. The paper is published in Surgical Neurology International and is available for free here.
